Mr. Young is an experienced trial attorney, including first chairing trials, taking and defending over 100 depositions of all kinds, and managing all aspects of alternative dispute resolution including mediation, arbitration, and working to resolve disputes with the help of court-appointed receivers. His practice focuses on complex business and real estate litigation, often involving high stakes. He represents individuals and business entities, such as partnerships and limited liability companies. Although Mr. Young handles virtually all areas of real estate litigation, examples of disputes that he routinely handles include member/manager LLC and partnership disputes, easements, breaches of contract, title insurance and bad faith claims, and commercial lease disputes.
As a result of his successful practice, Mr. Young has been recognized by Super Lawyer Magazine as one of Northern California’s “Rising Stars” for 5 years running. He has also earned Martindale-Hubbell’s “AV Preeminent” designation, which is the highest peer rating standard available. Mr. Young also makes it a priority to give back to his community, particularly to the next generation of attorneys. For nearly a decade he has volunteered at UC Hastings, College of the Law, in a variety of roles, including as an adjunct professor and also as a coach of the school’s very successful moot court teams.
